An exciting and entertaining collection of some of the most memorable music from your favourite shows, composers and groups!

We will feature a wonderful selection from the romantic South Pacific, as well as some of Irving Berlin's best-loved melodies.

You will enjoy reminiscing over some of Broadway's best showstoppers

Our vocalist is Gregory Moore, Internationally acclaimed Tenor, an audience favourite, as well as ours!  He will delight you with "Goodbye" from White Horse Inn, music from "The Vagabond King", "My Way" and others.

As a special treat we will have the famous poem, "The Man From Snowy River", narrated by Martin Daubney, with an orchestral background.

Other items will include Golden Wedding (featuring solo clarinet), our trumpeters amazing us with "Buglar's Holiday and some Strauss as well.

Please come and join us for a most entertaining afternoon of great music, as we present "SHOWTIME".  A show not to be missed.  

 

Adrian Head MMus, BMus - Conductor
 

Over the last three decades Adrian has conducted numerous orchestras & ensembles, nationally & overseas, including the Janacek Philharmonic, the Dohnanyi Symphony, & the Ady Ensemble: a twenty-three piece string orchestra which he founded in 2011, that performs standard repertoire & with newly written commissions & arrangements for the ensemble. In 2016 he studied conducting with Gabor Hollerung in Budapest, Hungary, & in 2017 he travelled to the Czech Republic to study with renowned Finnish conducting pedagogue, Jorma Panula.  

 

Gregory Moore

Gregory is a graduate of the QLD Conservatorium of Music and as a Cross-over Pop Opera artist is in high demand for his performance style and versatility. His performing credits include: an original member of The Ten Tenors, The Pirates of Penzance - Australian Tour for ESSGEE (Frederic Understudy, Ensemble) and Tenor Soloist in Andrew McKinnon’s World Touring International hit Scotland the Brave, with performances including the Sydney Opera House and the Lincoln Centre in New York City. He has performed The National Anthem in front of a World Wide Television audience at the Four Nations Rugby and State of Origin, sang The Prayer with Delta Goodrem at the opening of the Hyatt Gold Coast and is a regular guest with the Queensland Pops Orchestra.

As an original member of the Pop Opera Trio ‘La Forza’, Greg has performed throughout Australia, New Zealand, The South Pacific & Asia on all leading Cruise Ships including featured acts on The Queen Mary 2 & Queen Victoria.

Off stage, Greg is a regular Producer for Brisbane City Council

Events, Mentor for the Senior’s Cabaret Showcase at City Hall and is currently the Musical Director for the David Jones Christmas Parade in Brisbane. Due to Gregory’s contribution to the arts, he was an Australia Day Ambassador for the Queensland Government (2009 – 2011).

As well as appearing as the Tenor Soloist for the ABC TV and DVD/CD release of the hit Show ‘Scotland the Brave’, Greg has recorded two solo studio albums: ‘I’ve Dreamed of You’ recorded with the QLD Pops Orchestra and The Christmas Gift, released in both Australia and New Zealand. His TV special An Intimate Evening with Gregory Moore & Friends is available as a LIVE DVD & CD and has been featured on the STUDIO Channel, FOXTEL.
